How we compare
Why Bondlyy, and not what already exists?
Loneliness services fall into three camps: volunteer befriending, care companies with companionship on the side, and gig-style companion marketplaces. Bondlyy is built differently. Here is the side-by-side.

Not volunteers. Professionals.
Free befriending is valuable but capacity-limited, inconsistent and unmeasured. Bondlyy companions are paid professionals who pass ID, DBS, reference and interview screening, plus compulsory training.
Not care. Connection.
Home-care companies bundle companionship around personal care tasks and assign carers by roster. Our only job is genuine company, matched on interests, personality and pace.
Not ratings. Outcomes.
A 4.75 star average says people were satisfied. The Bondlyy Connection Index™ measures what actually changed: mood lift, felt connection and satisfaction per session, per client, over time.
A note on the audit
This comparison was completed on 20 October 2026 from public sources (papa.com, ageuk.org.uk, elder.org, bluebirdcare.co.uk). No established public service operates in the UK under the name "Companions for Care", so the care-adjacent companionship category is represented by UK home-care providers. Competitor pricing and features change; this page is refreshed as part of each audit cycle.
